Ashton's father, Thomas, has terminal cancer and is being nursed at Mr Fair field's parents' home in Dilton Marsh, with support from the hospice's palliative care team.
The Winsley charity's hospice at home team have been visiting terminally ill Mr Fairfield, who has brain cancer, along with friends, family and the community nursing team during his battle with the disease.

Mrs Fairfield said: "Ashton really appreciates everyone's help. He's also mentioned the idea of doing a fundraising bike ride, in the New Year, along the canal from Trowbridge to Bath with some of his friends."

The Fairfield family are aiming to raise 1,000 for a Dorothy House Tulip Fund in Mr Fairfield's name. He was diagnosed three years ago, and since February last year his family have run a blog, which receives around 300 hits a day, keeping wellwishers up to date with his condition.
Family join Santa Dash for hospice THOMAS Fairfield's parents, who are caring for their son at home, also want to thank Dorothy House for their support and are entering a the annual Santa Dash.
So far, his family have had 28 people sign up to their team for the Santa Dash at Dorothy House's Winsley hospice, along a 6km route, on December 2.
The Mead Primary School pupil held a cake sale at the school's Hilperton site yesterday (Thursday), and is already planning another at the school's Wingfield base.

Before yesterday's first cake sale, Ashton had already received 164 in donations for the Winsley hospice, with a grand tally from both events due to be announced after Tuesday's second sale.
Mrs Fairfield said: "On Tuesday we went to see Ashton's dad, as we were made aware that time is running out for him and Ashton hadn't seen him for about a week.
As well as facing a future without his father, Ashton is also coping with the recent loss of his grandfather Nigel Crew, who died of cancer last year, aged 55.
Mrs Fairfield, 30, said: "It all went crazy on Facebook a few nights back and then the idea of another cake sale was put forward.
"The last three years, and in particular the last 12 weeks, have been an intensely emotional time for us all," said Mr Fairfield's mother Hilary. "We feel we want to do something to focus our minds and energy during this difficult time."
"His dad struggles with communicating now, but I know that he is so proud of him, as his grandfather would be also."
